Translating research into strategy for an HR platform
Context
Flowupp was born from two co-founders looking to improve HR workflows. Despite the number of platforms in the market, many still fail to meet the real needs of recruiters, especially those in small to mid-sized companies or external recruitment agencies.
Challenges
During in-depth conversations with recruiters, I explored their daily routines, pain points, and the tools they relied on. A recurring issue emerged: most existing platforms are too rigid, offering little customization for small businesses or recruitment consultancies. Additionally, users struggle to track recruitment metrics to effectively report to leadership.
Actions
After UX Research, I conducted competitive benchmarking and identified a key differentiator for Flowupp: recruitment metrics visualization. This feature would help users gain insights from both active and past processes, something lacking in most mainstream solutions.
After defining and validating product requirements, I designed the MVP interface focused on core features for both recruiters and candidates, ensuring clarity, usability, and scalability from day one.
Results
Prototypes were developed for all three access levels of the system:
Public – open-access interface for general users
Candidate – tailored experience for job applicants
Manager/Recruiter – tools and insights for managing recruitment processes
